Broken Keys

Often times an old key may be cracked from wear and will break off in the ignition leaving some one stranded with a half of a key and a lock that can't be used. This is particularly common on older Nissans that used a thin and weakly designed keyway. We can sometimes pull the broken piece out with a bit of tedious work, but that is not always possible. This situation will frequently require disassembly of the lock itself as well as everything required to remove it, which can add up to a significant amount of labor. We can do this at the scene of the vehicle and make you a new key while we're there. Be sure to save all broken pieces of the key that you have to aid the locksmith in the making of the new key.
